Hilario Galindo Hospital

Faith in Practice has partnered with Hospital Hilario Galindo to serve the people of Guatemala for more than a decade. Having sent surgical teams to this hospital, located in western Guatemala, since 2008, we completed a significant expansion and renovation in 2016. The expansion doubled the size of the hospital, and the renovation upgraded the facilities to allow for more complex surgical cases as well as to expand clinic services. The expansion included opportunities for the hospital to serve more patients independent of the surgical program. This year, the hospital opened a Women’s Health Clinic, which provides cervical cancer screening and general gynecological services that complement the surgical program. A urology clinic is the next clinic expected to open. Faith In Practice has approximately 10 surgical teams at Hilario Galindo each year, averaging 50-60 patients per team, and the program continues to grow.

The solar installation at Hospital Hilario Galindo will be nearly 40kw using one Solaredge 43.2kW Synergy Inverter. The cost of the installation will be US $56,300. The annual energy production is projected to be 62,200 kWhrs which will result in an annual savings of more than $13,000.
